POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location:  Chicago, IL

The Senior Systems Engineer (SE) is responsible for the design and implementation of network solutions that meet or exceed customers’ business requirements.  The SE works closely with account managers and channel partners to identify opportunities, conduct technical presentations, and perform proof-of-concept demonstrations.

The SE is responsible for developing the scope of work (SOW) and bill of materials (BOM) for all projects, ensuring the equipment and configuration specified will meet customer requirements.  During implementation, the SE works closely with the project manager to coordinate the staging and deployment of equipment, ensures project checkpoints are met, and performs validation testing.  For many projects, the SE will be responsible for all aspects of the implementation – leveraging other GDT engineers as necessary.
