Job Description
Revenue Accounting Manager for $800mm publicly held entity
The Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for all aspects of accounting for revenue, sales programs, co-op advertising and sales commissions, under the direction of the Director, Accounting.
Responsibilities include:
· Managing all aspects of revenue accounting, including oversight of all revenue initiatives to ensure compliance with the complex revenue recognition requirements.
· Manage the accounting for sales commissions and related sales programs developed by the sales management team.
· GAAP research on accounting for revenue transactions.
· Assist in monthly and quarterly accounting close and review related account analyses.
· Responsible for managing the activities of assigned staff and functions.
· Maintain financial and accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
· Represent the Accounting group on cross functional projects.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required. CPA required.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with progressively challenging responsibilities in a medium to large organization.
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
Minimum of 3 years experience with a large public accounting firm including working on SEC clients and/or multinational corporations, preferably in the technology industry.
Direct and hands on experience applying revenue recognition literature (SAB 104, SOP 97-2, EITF 00-21) for a publicly-traded technology company.
Oracle Experience is a plus
