Requirements:
-At least five years of experience working on complex investigations in insurance, or law enforcement.
-Strong analytical, decision making, problem solving and oral and written communication skills. Solid research capabilities and the ability to prepare comprehensive reports. Working knowledge of judicial, criminal and civil system.
-Strong time management skills and ability to establish priorities.
-Ability to use various computer systems to include, but not limited to; Word, Excel, Outlook, and various database search systems.
-Must possess a valid driver’s license.
-Ability to travel to including overnight stays for extended periods of time and work irregular days and hours as required.
-Associates Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred.

Description:
Chartis has an opportunity for a Investigator in its Investigations division.
As a Investigator in the Investigations division you will be responsible for the following:
-Investigating allegations of insurance fraud of a high dollar, more complex nature including those involving claimants, attorneys and medical providers for the pursuit of appropriate remedies through the criminal justice system and/or civil or administrative process. Prepares objective and concise written reports of investigations.
-Gathering facts in an appropriate sequence on issues in question through interviewing, statement taking and obtaining physical and documentary evidence of witnesses, employers, co-workers, claimants and other relevant witnesses. Testifying and presenting evidence at legal, administrative and court proceedings as required.
-Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with Chartis insureds, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, corporate employees, criminal justice agencies, and the general public.
-Complying with all regulatory and compliance standards to include reporting all suspect claims in jurisdictions where required.
-Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with Chartis insured’s, attorneys, corporate employees and the criminal justice agencies.
-Participating in task forces or special projects as necessary.
-Supervising, mentoring, and training individuals as requested.
-Reviewing files and evaluating the reports and investigations of others.
